Trevoh Chalobah Expected to Replace Guehi in Three Lions Squad
Trevoh Chalobah emulated his sibling Nathaniel in representing England, becoming the twenty-first duo of siblings to earn caps for the national team.
Trevoh Chalobah is expected to link up with the England squad to replace unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is due to join the team for England's final World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, but it has yet to be made public.
The Three Lions have already secured qualification for next summer's tournament.
Chalobah earned his maiden invitation under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unfortunate to be omitted from the squad for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally omitted him for the next October international break.
Tuchel has been an key influence in Chalobah's progress, having handed him his Chelsea debut in the year 2021.
Chalobah has played in almost every games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the club third in the English top flight, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.
Guehi sustained a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over the Dutch side recently.
There are expected to be additional inclusions to the team. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has said that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) will withdraw from the squad.
